An heirloom for a West Cork name. This premium heritage woven blanket sets the Crowley crest into an Irish National Tartan weave.
The Crowley Name in Ireland
The Irish is Ó Cruadhlaoich — cruadh and laoch, the hard hero. The O'Crowleys' country was Kilshallow in the barony of Carbery, north of the Bandon river, where the chief held 32 plowlands and paid a yearly chief rent to MacCarthy Reagh, lord of Carbery. Rev. Patrick Woulfe called them a family originally seated in West Cork, once a strong one there and by his day numerous throughout Munster.
How the Crowley Blanket Is Made
Woven the old way. Crest and tartan take form in 100% premium cotton yarn as the cloth is built, and a traditional fringe finishes each end.
